People are guided to take correct nutritional steps to live a healthy life and they are served through necessary nutritional and diet programs in treatment of various diseases in Nutrition and Dietetics Department of Hürrem Sultan Hospital.
While nutrition is perceived by the general population as a term which should be paid attention to in the event of a disease, studies proved that early deaths and disabilities can be decreased and many diseases can be prevented if healthcare practices are corrected and healthy nutrition becomes a life style.
Today, preparation of personal nutrition programs in accordance with nutritional requirements of the patients in the light of nutritional analyses during and after treatment processes is critical for prevention of various diseases. Serious nutritional programs are required for various health problems with ever increasing prevalence, such as obesity, anorexia or inability to lose weight. Nutrition also has a lifelong importance for individuals who have certain diseases such as kidney problems, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and hypertension. Purpose of Nutrition and Dietetics Department is to provide patients with healthy dietary habits through a multidisciplinary approach and personalized programs.
